This morning, Jakob decided he wanted to go outside to blow bubbles. So I get him and Jericho (and myself as well of course) dressed to go outside. We get out there, and he starts admiring the flowers we planted on Earth Day, which is our tradition.
Interestingly enough, out of all the flowers that were planted this spring/summer, the ones Jakob planted are the only ones that are still in bloom, and have been in bloom since the spring. That child has a green thumb like you wouldn't even believe (as long as it's plants and not helpless little creatures. You guys already know what happens with those). Anyways, he's inspecting his flowers and ever so seriously informs me that there is a bee on one of the flowers "pollinating it so that it will live and not die".
Most people would think that statement is proof of how intelligent and well read our child is. I am here to inform you that is not the case. He knows that from watching "Bee Movie" over, and over, and over, and over, and over again. See, movies can be educational!
I have to say though, that movie is the cutest! It's right up there with Ice Age on my list of favorites. Before motherhood, I couldn't stand cartoons. Now there are some that I absolutely adore. Like Over the Hedge and Barnyard. There are some classics that I love too, Peter Pan (my all time favorite, and btw, do you think Jakob looks a bit like Peter when his hair is longer? I totally do and get all sad every time he wants a haircut), Pocahontis, and Aladdin to name a few.
Jericho has been fairly miserable today. Quite a bit of puking and crying. I'm pretty sure he's working his bottom teeth out of his poor little gums, because he's typically pretty serious about his routines and stuff, but he's not downright miserable. Whether it's the fact that he got used to his routine with daddy and now daddy is back at work, the teeth coming in, or he's just not feeling well, I sure hope it passes soon. I'm not good at dealing with whining babies. Crying I can handle, but that constant whining because they hurt/don't feel good breaks my heart. What parent wants to see their baby cry and deal with feeling helpless? None that I know.

We were going to see it in the theater but never got around to it. We should mention it to dad, he'll have it bought in less than an hour!
